This event will offer a sleek, New York City cabaret-style evening featuring some of the most talented emerging young vocalists from Nashville Theatre School. These young professionals will bring powerhouse vocals, dynamic storytelling, magnetic stage presence and entertainment to a sophisticated setting. Musical Direction by Mr. Russell Davis, Ms. Ella Green, Mr. Brian Charles Rooney who has spent years on the NYC cabaret circuit and on Broadway.
This cabaret brings together a select group of young professional singers for a beautifully curated evening of song. With elegant arrangements and accompaniment by Mr. Davis and meaningful storytelling, this performance will offer a window into the next generation of musical theatre and vocal artistry — all within an intimate, upscale cabaret atmosphere.
Cabaret shows will be a new and important part of our curriculum here at NTS.
What is Cabaret Entertainment?
Cabaret entertainment is a style of live performance where singers present songs in a more personal and expressive way. Instead of large sets, costumes, or choreography, the focus is on storytelling through music.
In a cabaret performance, singers choose songs that connect around a theme and may briefly talk to the audience between songs to explain the meaning or story behind them. This helps the audience better understand the emotions and ideas being shared.
What parents can expect
Performances are typically in a smaller, more intimate setting
Singers perform primarily solo, often with piano or simple musical accompaniment
Emphasis is placed on vocal technique, acting, confidence, and communication
Content is age-appropriate and thoughtfully selected
Why cabaret is valuable for young performers
Cabaret helps students develop strong performance skills by encouraging them to:
Understand song lyrics deeply
Express emotions clearly and honestly
Build confidence speaking and performing in front of an audience
Connect meaningfully with listeners
Overall, cabaret is a wonderful way for singers to grow as performers while sharing music in a heartfelt, engaging, and approachable format.
TUITION: $350 (This includes 20 guests on the Guest List), this can be paid over 2 months.
There will be an open bar and passed food included.
Tickets will not be sold for this event, per SOHO HOUSE policies.
