2027 Junior Theater Festival

JTF brings together student musical theatre companies from all over the world. Each company performs fifteen minutes from a Broadway Junior® show for adjudication by a panel of musical theater experts. The weekend also features classes, workshops, performances, concerts, and awards.
While it is the expectation that your commitment to PC and HSA includes JTF, it is optional. You do NOT need to be in SPONGEBOB to attend JTF.
***All JTF Rehearsals are MANDATORY***
REHEARSALS / DATES:
Tuesday January 5th - Friday January 8th / 4:30 PM - 8 PM
Sunday January 10th 6 PM - 8 PM
STUDENTS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL REHEARSALS
Parent Preview Performance: Thursday January 14th - evening
JTF Dates: Friday January 16th - Monday, January 19th (your student will miss school on Friday).
Chaperones will drive your student to Atlanta early Friday morning and be responsible for your student at the Omni Hotel & festival. Typically one chaperone oversees 3-4 children. Again, if you feel like your child cannot attend without you, they are not ready for the trip.
If you are interested in chaperoning the trip, please include this in the form above. We will select chaperones based on need and will let them know by October 1st.
FESTIVAL COST
$850 per student (this does NOT include hotel)
This includes:
JTF Ticket for your child
Chaperone, Admin and Rehearsal Costs
Meals (except lunches: you will send money for travel days and the mall food court)
HOTEL COST:
~ $350 Approx TOTAL per child
With our group rate, rooms at The Omni Hotel at the Battery have typically been
$300-$350 / night (based on a 4 person occupancy).
Assuming that your child is in a 4-person room, your total cost for the hotel would be approx $100/night (~$300 total for 3 nights).
Room Chaperones will pay the hotel directly and you will pay the chaperone for your child’s hotel portion.

*Remember, you will need to pay an additional ~ approx. $350 for the hotel at the
conclusion of the festival weekend
