NTS HIGH SCHOOL ARTISTS PROGRAM
Under the Direction of Miss Emily Urbanski

High School Artists is a training program designed for high school students who are experienced in performing and have interest in growing deeper as artists. Our goal is to keep current students that are headed to high school engaged with NTS, while allowing them the flexibility to still fully participate in the high school experiences the schools in Nashville have to offer.

In the Fall, HSA Students focus on honing their audition skills through mock auditions and dance calls while learning important musical theatre history to help them choose material and prepare accordingly. In the Spring, students begin work on the HSA Showcase which takes place at Julia Green Elementary. The HSA Showcase is created, written, directed, choreographed, designed and performed by the students!

High School Artists offers a comprehensive curriculum that fosters growth, development, and learning in all aspects of theater. In this program, young performers will build confidence and skill sets for all their future creative endeavors.

All High School Artists are required to enroll in Sunday Ballet and a weekly dance class at NTS or other approved program and are strongly encouraged to audition for NTS’s MainStage Musical. Private Voice is a nice addition, but NOT a requirement.

HSA meets on Sundays from 3:30-5:30. Please note that HSA is a year long commitment and will meet from August-May.
Tuition: $210 / Month (August - May)

If you have any questions, or would like more information about this program, please reach out to Miss Emily at emily@nashvilletheatreschool.com

2025-2026 AUDITIONS
Auditions for HSA will take place on Sunday, May 18th, 2025 from 12:30-4:30PM at NTS. A sign up will go out for audition appointments. Auditionees will make an audition appointment and bring in two contrasting 1 minute cuts to perform with the provided accompanist. Students should bring sheet music in a binder, marked and in the correct key. A headshot and resume are also requested.
