NTS PERFORMING COMPANY (PC) / By Audition / Invitation Only
(Ages 10 - Middle School)
NTS PC is designed as a pre-professional training program with performance opportunities that reach beyond our semester productions. The PC is a year round commitment that begins in August and runs through May and is geared toward our most advanced and committed students.
It is important that PC Members have some basic dance training. Enrolling in a Ballet class or NTS Dance Fundamentals is recommended before starting PC.
PC Students will learn a 20 minute variety show that will be performed at different events around town including TPAC's Family Day, and other community events and schools. In addition to doing the Spring Academy Division Musical as a PC Company, the PC also performs at the Belle Meade Holiday Parade and other holiday events. We are always working to add new events to our performing schedule for next season. PC & HSA students are eligible to travel and perform at both Jr Theatre Festival in Atlanta and on our NYC Summer Study Trip and our Spring Cabaret.
We will also be adding more to the training component with the PC, adding Master Classes in all areas of dance, voice and acting with some on camera and self tape training.
Students must meet the weekly Ballet or comparable technique class requirement and will attend a Tuesday or Thursday night dance class at NTS. There is an approved list of technique classes that can fulfill your technique requirements, please reach out to Ms. Vanessa for approval.
Private Voice is a nice addition, but NOT a requirement.
As the PC has grown, the age range of the students has grown as well. In response to that, we have 2 Performing Companies that will work both together and separately and 2 levels of the Sunday ballet classes next year. These companies will be based on your audition and level placement.
AUDITIONS: We will hold auditions for PC on Thursday May 14th 4-5:30PM and Monday May 18th 4-5:45PM. Students will make an appointment through the SIGN UP GENIUS and bring in one minute of a standard Broadway showtune and sing with an accompanist. Students should bring in sheet music / audition binder, marked and in the correct key.
Both new and returning company members need to audition, this is part of the training component.

Most PC students participate in either the Mainstage Musical OR an Academy Division Show.
PC TUITION:
Please note that PC is a year long commitment and will meet from August-May.
Tuition: $225 / Month (August - May), this includes all dance classes and PC rehearsals.
NYC SUMMER TRIP!
This Summer Study trip is open to all PC and HSA Members.
Saturday, July 25th - Thursday July 30th, 2026. Commitment deadline: March 1st, 2026.
Below is the approx cost breakdown of the trip.

NYC EXPENSES 2026
Plane Ticket - Approx $500 (on your own)
Hotel - Approx $400 / (paid by you to chaperone or NTS)
Food - Approx $60 / day, plus water, snacks, etc.
Ground Transportation - Approx $150 total ( we do ALOT of walking..this covers airport and the occasional taxi)
Tuition Paid to NTS: $1725.00
You will make (3) $575.00 payments to NTS on the 1st of each month (May, June & July)
This tuition includes the following:
Broadway Dance Center Classes (Approx 2-3 classes a day)
Rehearsal Studio / Private Instruction for 2 Master Classes
Pianist for audition workshop
2 Broadway Shows (We typically choose these after the Tony Awards in early June). Students are welcome to see as many shows as they like; 2 are included in your tuition that we see together as a group. We will get kids to whatever shows they want to see.
*Mainstage Production 2026
Tuition is $225.00 / month and will be spread out over 7 months (August - February). PC students will have their own block of auditions, but the show will be open to the public to audition.
We will present our Mainstage Musical (Beetlejuice, Jr) at the brand new Franklin Special School District Performing Arts Center (very close to Williamson County Performing Arts Center). While it is not required, it is highly encouraged that all PC/HSA members participate in the mainstage musical.
MAINSTAGE TECH WEEK / PERFORMANCE DATES:

*Until we determine the musical and the casting, it is hard to know if we will need everyone on both Monday and Wednesday at this point. You will have an opportunity to turn in conflicts at the audition.
