EMAIL RE: AUDITIONS
Auditions will take place at your child's next class (Tuesday, January 20th and Monday, January 26th). All of this material is also in the Google Drive on the Winnie the Pooh page on our website. Please check this often!
HERE is the audition prep sheet that went home this week with the Tuesday cast.
Tuesday Cast - Your scripts are being delivered this week and your children will receive them on Tuesday. Monday Cast - You can either use the audition prep sheet linked above or your child's script. Please remember that we will not meet this Monday due to Martin Luther King, Jr Day.
There are 2 parts to the audition:
1) SINGING - Students will say:
My name is _________ and I am interested in the roles of (and give up to 3 roles or ensemble or tell us what they are interested in working on). HERE is a list of the cast of characters.
They will sing the section of music on the audition prep sheet.
2) ACTING - Students will act out the line at the top of the audition prep sheet. If they cannot memorize all of that line, just have them do what they can.
HERE is the link to the EDITED opening number. Please have your kids listening to this as we will block this number at the first rehearsal after auditions.
Please be sure that you download the music tracks below to a device that your child can listen to and start listening! :). The expectation is that students will come in with the material for the day (listed on the website) memorized. Go ahead and start memorizing….the whole family should know the words by May! Scripts will be handed out at the first rehearsal.

GENERAL NTS INFO…..
DROP OFF / PICK UP
We are located at 106 Page Road, behind the Shell Station. We open the doors at your class / rehearsal time. No early drop offs please.
DROP OFF...Please ALWAYS PARK IN A PARKING SPACE, we do not have a hook up line. Once you have parked you may walk your child to the door, or they may walk themselves if you feel they are capable and safe.
PICK UP...Please ALWAYS PARK IN A PARKING SPACE, we do not have a hook up line. Once you have parked you may meet your child on the front porch. We do not want children running into a dark parking lot to meet parents. Students will need a parent to meet them on the porch.
Students are instructed to NEVER leave the porch unless their adult has made contact. We take parking lot safety very seriously and expect full co-operation from all parties. Please be sure that all pick up and drop off information is relayed to all Caregivers, Dads, Grandparents, Nannies, etc.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel your registration for a production, you may do so with 30 days notice, until February 1st. After February 1st, you will be required to finish payment for the semester. All classes and productions require a 30 day notice for cancellation.
ATTENDANCE
Attendance is extremely important as we add new material to the show each week. If you know your child has an unavoidable conflict, please let us know ASAP via email to Ms. Vanessa so that we can work the rehearsal schedule around that. We would hate to schedule your child's BIG number only to find out that they won't be attending that day. Each student and every rehearsal are important. The expectation is that they are working on lines and music at home always, but that in no way replaces what is done with the full cast in rehearsal.
PERFORMANCES:
Winnie the Pooh performances will take place on Saturday, May 2nd at the LMG Black Box Theatre at NTS (106 Page Road).

Each student will receive 2 tickets to each performance (a total of 4 tickets). They are $12 each and will be charged to your account on March 1st and will come home with your child the week of April 27th.
With that being said, there is plenty of floor and lap seating. We will let all ticketed patrons in the door first and then all other guests can enter at no charge and find what seating is still available. We have never had to run any one away…it does get cozy, but we typically can accommodate everyone. :). I can answer ticket questions as we get closer to the performance date.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR DRESS REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES IN MAY:
We will talk more about hairstyles closer to the date of the performance! Please go ahead and start ordering and gathering these items below now, as they are mandatory for all dress reh’s and performances.

You can purchase these on Amazon or at Spell’s across the street from St. Thomas Hospital on Harding Road.
We know delivery times are uncertain, please plan ahead and be SURE your child has these by dress rehearsal! Black or tan jazz shoes.
Everyone should arrive for dress rehearsal and performances in their Base Layer and hair and make up. They should wear a button down or zip up shirt or jacket over their Base Layer. The Base Layer is an undergarment and should not be worn alone without something over it.
